I am looking for the settings of the two screws on the top of the carb on my 1974 cheetah with a WF-1 carb. I just did a fresh rebuild and i want to get them set right so they don't burnup.

    Thanks,
    B

    Hi,
Arctic did not "officially" make any 1969 Pumas.
1970 model year was the introduction of the Puma.
I have heard rumors of a "1969 Puma", but they go away as soon as people start questioning it and asking for proof.
The '70 Puma was available with the 340 Sachs single.
Arctic claimed 28 standard models produced, and 107 EXT models produced.

     Lynx 292 set up
    « Result #8 on Apr 4, 2009, 9:39pm »

Hello, I'm new to this site and just wanted to say hello.

I would also like to ask a question. who on here races an old 1973 or older vintage one lunger?

I run a 72 lynx 292 and I seem to get alot of belt slippage /residue at the top of the primary. its a comet 94 duster and I am running 1039 belt. any ideas if I should run a different belt or change the center to center distanc?? I have it set to factory specs right now. Thanks

    Hi,
It looks like there are two hold down rods on either side.
The studs look like they go through the top of the tunnel.
Here is a scan showing it:
