i bought a jag 2000 with engine model AA28FI series 200FA. it will start, idle but will not excellerate. even idleing it sounds like the ignition is cutting out. give it more throttle and gets worse. i disconnected the main wiring harness that goes to the kill switch, lights, key switch, lights etc. does the same thing. i tried different coil pack and cdi, same thing. i'm wondering if its the stator coils? the carb has been cleaned, even tried a different carb from a good running sled. no difference. any suggestions. it acts like there should be a reset button for the ignition??
