Still working on my '74 Eltigre 295. The way I'm going with projects working on my house I won't have the sled done for a few more years.

My projects are on hold cause of antzie customers wanting their sleds done. My finished projects are a 1976 Polaris TX440, 1979 Yamaha Exciter 440 and right at the moment I bought a low mileage 1975 Arctic Cat El Tigre Z-250. Its in not too bad of shape, just needs a heart transplant. Whoever had it, raced it at one time and blew the motor and replaced it with a common 340. I just found a 295 racing motor I have to go get(11 hour drive round trip). I think the sled is worth it!

Too bad they have been in the garage for some time now but I am finishing up a nice 79 jag 2000, and a suzuki fury. Those will probably hit the back burner as this weekend scored a 70 panther ext with a jlo 295 that will run

Me and the kids have been busy with a 73 Puma, our 78 Polaris Cobra race sled and our newest toy 73 EXT 340. Not doing a complete restore on the EXT as we plan on racing it at radar runs. You can see all these sleds on our homepage www.intergate.com/~adams03605/Look under the snowmobile section NO BUDGET VINTAGE RACING Bruce

I am currently working on a 1974 El Tigre 340, the tunnel is out being polished and the bulkhead and skid frame are headed to the powder coater this week. Hood and Bellypan are painted and ready to go. Reassembly should be just around the corner. The next project will be a 1976 250Z Thanks Terry

'74 El Tigre 340;tunnel is polished,most parts painted,some reassembly going on. Put on the back-burner while awaiting parts to finish. Also have a '75 El Tigre 340 and a '76 TX340 that run,but need work. Then there's the '72 340 EXT,and a '73 250 El Tigre...

Hello, can any one confirm the history of my 1972 puma, It was bought new by my grandpa, while my grandma worked at Arctic Cat, He had burned two tanks of gas in it and then hung the sled up in the rafters of his shed because Arctic Cat had contacted him to purchase the sled back from him for there museum at the factory because it was the frist 440 kawasaki they used. The serrial #063464, is this true? Thanks Wyatt

Hi, The serial number (2xxxxxx) makes it a 1972 model (hence the build date of 9/71). Maybe the first 440 Puma off the line that year? Arctic did have older 440's, as they used the Kawasaki 440 fan cooled (T1A440S1A) in the '71 Panther and Puma. They also had the 440 free-air in the '71 EXT.
