Got my newsletter today, Thanks. I was sort of surprised reading the article about the 72 Panther as being a good collector sled. I bought a 72 a couple of years ago and in my mind it was pretty non-discript as A/C sleds go. As a result it has been push to the back wall of my garage as other sleds took priority. So, tonight my curiosity got the best of me and I wormed my way back to it, and to my amazement, it is as close to a perfect original machine that I have ever owned! Now I'm wondering, is this really a sought after sled, or maybe, just maybe, Paul W. has one for sale and is trying to drum up some prospects??? Wankels----Freedom Motors from CA has bought the engine rights from OMC and is producing that engine again. The parts are interchangeable, of higher quality and are very high priced. Jerry

Hi, Sorry, no, I don't have a '72 Panther for sale. LOL! Actually, the article in the newsletter was taken from the 1977 "Thumbs Up" magazine put out buy Arctic. That mag has a few other good stories in it. I think the Panther story was a look back at which old Cats might become collectable in the years ahead. Of course, it was written in '77 and '72 wasn't all that far of a look back! Unfortunately, Arctic built twenty gazillion '72 Panthers so they are not the most desirable sleds as far as collecting goes. Except, maybe, for the Wankel and 4-stroke powered ones. Later .......
