I have a 1972 Panther 292 that was rebuilt in the fall of 2006 and I only put about 10 hours on it since. It has been in my garage since March of 2007 and when I went to pull it out last night it would not start.
I am getting air/fuel & spark but no combustion. If I sit the plug on top of the cylinder head connected to the wire and turn it over I get fire. I was able to get her to run for a few seconds last night with straight gas but nothing since then. There is definately gas making its way into the chambre.
Could the problem be with the Tilotson carb?
Thanks for the help.

Problem could be the carb, But my 340 puma died on the trail, with basically the same symptoms and the problem was a bad clutch side crank seal, took about 20 min. to fix.

P.s. sorry this is so late
